What special thing that you do on Independence Day? Some people might just pass the day without doing anything. Some are quite interested and keep sitting in front of the TV and watching the ceremony live report from the National Palace. Some even get more active and organize their own events.
Well for a person like me who has downgrading trust to government, as the time goes by, Independence Day just means less and less. Not because I do not respect the efforts and bloody struggles done by our heroes but more on how I distrust the legacy and leadership of current presidency. The political disturbance, the never-ending corruption cases, the law confusion and injustice and many other disappointing things such kind of giving me clue that the Nation is about being failed state. Don’t you think that it is so scary?I wish it won’t be
Well, all in all, I still tell myself or anyone experiencing the same way that regardless the distrust, we could not just blame all the darkness but at least we start lighting the candle. This means, regardless what the heck the government does or other parties those putting disadvantages for the public, we could still do goodness on our own.
This year Indonesia Independence Celebration is really special so special for me. I took sudden decision to join fun trip to Krakatau. Wow, one of legendari volcano located in thr Sunda straits.
Well exploring tiny islands is really interesting: anak krakatau, sebesi, sebuku and etc. whatever i could do such as sunbathing, snorkeling, interaction with local people or just spending time hearing the wave sound .
Experiencing flag ceremony on top of smoky mountain with giant red and white flag there, enjoying fireworks while listening to wave sound, flying the sky lanterns on really serene island and meet new people and friends in the mid of strait ahaha: I cann’t expect more than these.
